Vendor API Documentation
The RealReal Virtual Inventory Public API enables vendors to seamlessly integrate with The RealReal’s luxury consignment platform. This API provides standardized communication pathways for both inbound and outbound processes with our system, allowing for scalable and efficient vendor onboarding.
Purpose & Benefits
The Virtual Inventory Public API serves as a standardized interface for vendors to:
- Submit and manage product information
- Submit and manage vendor addresses
- Receive real-time updates on item statuses
- Process cancellations and returns efficiently
By leveraging this API, vendors can automate workflows, reduce manual intervention, and ensure consistent data exchange with The RealReal’s systems.
Supported Workflows
The API supports key Virtual Inventory workflows, including:
- Post-Sale Auth Ship: Items are shipped to The RealReal for authentication before being shipped to customers
- Expedited Ship: Items are shipped directly from vendors to customers after TRR Approval
API Versioning
The API follows semantic versioning principles and is currently at version 1 (v1). All endpoints are prefixed with /v1/ to ensure backward compatibility as the API evolves.
