The designer field must match an existing TRR designer.
The canonical, always-current list of TRR designers is available at:
Validation is accent-insensitive (e.g., “Hermès” and “Hermes” will match the same designer), but the value still must correspond to a real TRR designer.
Acceptance is taxon-level (category-dependent)
Designer acceptance is not a static list in the docs. It is managed by TRR and can change over time.
- The designer must exist in TRR’s designers database.
- Whether that designer is accepted can vary by taxon/category (taxon-level rules).
